Weekly Flower Arrangement

This week's flower arrangement is all about zinnias! Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers and they are blooming like crazy in the garden right now! I also added some interesting foliage to compliment and break up the bright colors of the flowers a bit.

Zinnia themed flower arrangement

In addition to zinnias, this arrangement contains:
  • Variegated Yucca foliage (tall spikes)
  • Gladiola (tall pink flower spike - a random one that broke off in a storm)
  • Sansevieria foliage (striped green spike on right)
  • Purple coleus foliage (dark foliage in center)
  • Purple sweet potato vine foliage (dark foliage hanging off the right bottom)
  • Red castor bean leaf (greenish/red foliage on bottom left)

If you want to join in and share a link to pictures of your flower arrangements and current blooms, please do! I would love to see what's blooming in your gardens!

  2. Hi p3chandan - Thanks! I grow them every year because they are so pretty. They are very easy to grow from seed. Every fall, I collect the seeds to start the next spring. You should try them if you can.

  3. I love Zinnias, too! Mine are starting to really fill out too, but the Japanese beetles are having a field day with some of the leaves. Good thing they grow so fast in this weather. Your arrangement is so pretty!

  4. Thanks PlantPostings! I have minor damage on my zinnia leaves from the Japanese beetle compared to my roses and beans. Grrr... I hate those pesky things.
